What are the technical requirements for using self-programmed plugins?

A Homematic IP Home Control Unit with firmware version 1.4.x or higher and the Homematic IP app version 3.5.x or higher are required to use self-programmed plugins.

How can I activate the developer mode of the Home Control Unit?

Developer mode is activated in the HCUWeb. Attention: eQ-3 does not provide technical support for devices with activated developer mode! Once developer mode has been fully activated, it can only be exited by resetting the Home Control Unit to factory settings or importing a backup! Therefore, create a backup before activating developer mode.

Where can I download plugins?

The Homematic IP Home Control Unit is supplied with three pre-installed plugins (CCU3, Philips Hue, EEBus). These can be activated via the WebUI of the control unit. In addition, eQ-3 does not yet offer any certified plugins for download. This is planned for the future. The use of non-certified plugins is without support and at your own risk.
