Quality-of-life improvements are the focus of the latest update for the free Homematic IP app. Users of additional services, such as Amazon Alexa, can look forward to a new filter function. Instead of controlling all networked devices at the same time, they can now use the filter to select specific devices and groups that are to be addressed via the respective additional service.

Users can now select different symbols for switch actuators in their smart home - depending on whether the actuator switches a lamp on and off, controls another electrical device or performs another function. This makes assignment much easier.
Another new feature is the ability to use inputs and buttons of switching, dimming and shutter actuators for automation and to use defined brightening and dimming positions in shading groups. In addition, users of the Homematic IP app for wearables can now sort their favorites themselves.

As usual, update 3.6.13 for the Homematic IP app will be distributed in stages and will be available to all users within a few days.
