Expanded security ecosystem with Door Lock Drive – pro, Cameras and new app dashboard

With the Homematic IP Door Lock Drive – pro, eQ‑3 takes access control and door security to the next level. The new Smart Lock not only offers convenient features such as access authorisations, auto-relock, whisper mode and more, but also makes the front door a fully integrated part of the alarm system: integrated position and vibration sensors, precise detection of the door status and comprehensive tamper protection monitor the entire door mechanism.

Homematic IP cameras for indoor and outdoor use expand the system with high-resolution video surveillance. Functions such as motion and person detection, two-way audio and night vision enable optimum protection for every building. The cameras can also be linked to other Homematic IP devices, for example to activate automatically when a Homematic IP alarm siren is triggered.

The product range comprises six camera models, including a Homematic IP Video Doorbell, which is the ideal complement to the Homematic IP Door Lock Drive – pro.

All security-related functions are bundled in the new alarm dashboard of the Homematic IP app. Live camera images and recordings, event logs, alarm modes, device settings and more are immediately accessible. Users can also activate push notifications with a direct emergency call option.

All new security components will be released during the second quarter of 2026.

Well protected, also against water damage

The Homematic IP Water Stop and Supply Unit combines three essential components of home installation in a single, intelligently networked device: a water stop, a pressure reducer and an innovative backwash filter. The system thus provides protection against water damage and performs central tasks related to the household water supply. The integrated shut-off valve can be closed at any time via app, automatically or at the touch of a button. In conjunction with Homematic IP water sensors, this creates a protection system that detects escaping water at an early stage and closes the main valve immediately. In this way, Homematic IP ensures that a small leak does not turn into expensive water damage.

Smart up your Light: Homematic IP bulbs, dimmer insert and switch actuators

For a quick start with smart lighting, eQ-3 will launch its own Homematic IP light bulbs for the first time in the third quarter of 2026. The bulbs for E27 and GU10 sockets offer brilliant colours and warm white light thanks to RGBWW LEDs. They can be easily inserted into existing luminaires and controlled in scenes or groups via the app.

The Homematic IP Universal Dimmer Insert was specially developed for retrofitting in existing buildings. It can also be operated in installation situations without a neutral conductor, automatically detects the connected load and the dimming method and has an extension input for connecting conventional switches. Control Elements with push-buttons or motion sensors offer flexible operating options.

The Homematic IP Switch Actuator (6 A) – flush-mount is also a real problem solver for electrical installations. Thanks to its particularly compact design, it can be installed even in tight spaces. Convenient spring-loaded plug-in terminals on the front make wiring easier. The actuator will be available with an optional additional terminal for switches or push buttons.

Stylish control in the smart home

Despite app and voice control, buttons and multifunction displays remain important components of every smart building. Homematic IP already has an extensive range of control elements, but will offer users even more choice in the future.

Until now, Homematic IP Glass Displays could only be used in wired installations. From the second quarter of 2026, the multifunctional touch displays will also be available as wireless versions. Users can control lighting, shading and more from a single location with these devices. Six screen pages can be assigned different actions. The Homematic IP glass display – plus offers five additional screens for room climate control. There are also completely new functions such as the intuitive colour picker for setting coloured lighting, which will also be made available to owners of wired glass displays with a free firmware update.

Last year, eQ-3 launched the Homematic IP Glass Series, consisting of glass push-buttons and glass wall thermostats. These stylish and convenient devices will also be available as a wired solution from the third quarter of 2026.

Modbus and MQTT plugin for the Homematic IP Home Control Unit

New plugins expand the capabilities of the Homematic IP Home Control Unit as a comprehensive platform for energy and building automation. In addition to EEBUS, the smart home control centre will also support Modbus and MQTT from the third quarter of 2026. These communication interfaces give installers and system integrators additional scope for implementing their projects.

Modbus can be used to integrate heat pumps, inverters, wall boxes and air conditioning units into the Homematic IP system. This turns the Home Control Unit into a flexible control centre for a home energy management system. MQTT also allows control commands and sensor data to be transferred between Homematic IP and external systems.
