Smart home control at the touch of a finger: Homematic IP Glass displays now also available for wireless installations

Homematic IP’s elegant glass displays allow to conveniently control key smart home functions via an intuitive touchscreen. Whilst these devices were previously only available for Homematic IP Wired installations, they are now also available as wireless versions for the first time. This makes them particularly suitable for existing buildings and smart home installations without bus cabling.

The large, illuminated Homematic IP Glass display features five screen pages, each of which can be customised with up to four function tiles. This allows users to control numerous functions of their smart home from a single central location at the touch of a finger. A sixth page is used to display weather data.

The Homematic IP Glass Display – plus offers five additional pages for setting the target temperature and displaying sensor data, such as humidity and window status. It can also be used to control access solutions, such as the Homematic IP Door Lock Drive – pro.
 

New features for greater convenience

The options for function tiles have been significantly expanded:

Existing Homematic IP Wired glass displays will also receive the new features. A corresponding firmware update will be made available at a later date.
