Available from now on: The Homematic IP Access Point 2

eQ-3 releases a successor to the popular Homematic IP Access Point. The Homematic IP Access Point 2 builds on the technical strengths of its predecessor and comes in a fresh, new look. The modern design is based on the Homematic IP Home Control Unit and blends unobtrusively but stylishly into any environment. Just like the smart home control unit, the Access Point 2 is available in white and anthracite.

The Access Point 2 is an expression of a new design philosophy for Homematic IP, which already includes products such as the Homematic IP Glass Wall Thermostat, the Radiator thermostat - flex and the Radiator thermostat - Evo. All three were awarded with the coveted Red Dot for their pioneering design.

Technically, the Access Point 2 is similar to its predecessor: as the basis of the smart home, it ensures a reliable connection between up to 120 radio-controlled Homematic IP devices and the Homematic IP cloud servers in Germany via the Internet. All communication is securely encrypted. Homematic IP is the first smart home system to be certified by the VDE for protocol, IT and data security for the eighth time in a row.

The intuitive Homematic IP app makes operating the smart home child's play. The app guides users step by step through the setup process and allows them to control heating, lighting, security and more - whether at home or on the move.

The Homematic IP Access Point 2 will be available from August 2025.
