Clever heating: enjoy comfort and save

Control the room temperature according to your needs - at home and on the move. You can do this easily via app, directly on the device using buttons or conveniently via voice control with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. This makes it easy to save on heating costs: set up your personal temperature profiles in the app and adjust the heating precisely to your needs with up to three heating profiles and 13 daily changes - for a comfortable temperature only when you really need it.

Fast heat-up with boost function

The boost function enables rapid heating by fully opening the radiator valve for a short time. This quickly brings the room up to the desired temperature.

Save with the window open detection

This function ensures that the temperature is automatically lowered when a window is opened. For even more precise detection, you can optionally add window and door contacts.

FAQs - Your questions, our answers

In our FAQs you will find the answers to the most frequently asked questions - compact, easy to understand and always to the point. Find out everything you need to know to optimally control your smart home!

How does window open detection work with Homematic IP radiator thermostats?

Window open detection works in combination with Homematic IP window and door contacts. As soon as the contact registers that a window is open, it sends a signal to the radiator thermostat. This then automatically reduces the heating output to save energy while the window is open. Without the window and door contact, detection is triggered by a sudden drop in temperature in the room, whereupon the thermostat also reduces the heating output.

Can water escape when replacing a Homematic IP radiator thermostat?

No, when replacing Homematic IP radiator thermostats, no water can escape from the radiator. The thermostat only controls the opening and closing of the valve and does not intervene in the heating system. As long as the valve itself is intact and remains closed, there is no risk of water escaping. The thermostat can be installed and removed safely and dry without having to drain the heating water.

How do I control the Homematic IP system?

You can control your Homematic IP system in various ways and adapt it to your personal needs:

  • Homematic IP app: Use the Homematic IP app to manage your system effectively. The app not only allows you to control and monitor your devices, but also to set up the system, create time profiles for automatic processes and create automations for complex scenarios.
  • Without a smartphone: Control the Homematic IP system via wall switches and remote controls or directly on the devices such as thermostats for intuitive and simple operation in your home.
  • Voice control: Integrate Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant to conveniently adjust lighting, room temperature and other functions by voice.
What do the climate control operating modes do?

Your Homematic IP climate control solution offers five operating modes:

  • In automatic mode, the system controls the temperature according to the heating schedules you have defined and selected.
  • In manual mode, you can manually regulate the room temperature independently of the heating schedules.
  • In eco mode, which can be activated via the home screen on the app or via the Homematic IP Wall-Mount Remote Control, all or any rooms equipped with radiators or electric heaters are automatically lowered to a predefined eco temperature (reduction temperature), for example after pressing the wall-mount remote control when leaving the house.
  • In party mode, you can maintain the room temperature at a certain temperature value for a precisely defined period of time.
  • In holiday mode, you can lower the room temperature to a freely selectable temperature value until a time you define if you are going to be away for any length of time. In holiday mode, the temperature of the floor heating system is also lowered.
