FAQs - Your questions, our answers

I You will find answers to the most frequently asked questions in our FAQ section - compact, easy to understand and always to the point. Find out all you need to know for optimum control of your smart home!

What can I control with the wall switch in the Smart Home?

The device's six buttons can be used to control devices and system functions flexibly via radio. Typical applications include switching light sources on and off, raising and lowering shutters or activating and deactivating eco mode. In addition, several devices can be controlled simultaneously at the touch of a button.

How do I know if my entry was successful or if there is an error?

Successful commands are confirmed by the LEDs. If a transmission fails (e.g. receiver cannot be reached), the LED lights up red. Three slow red flashes indicate that the duty cycle limit (the legally limited transmission time) has been reached, which means that the device cannot transmit for a short time.

Do I necessarily need a control center to use it?

Yes, a connection to a Homematic IP Access Point or another control center of the system is required for operation. The device is also configured individually via this control panel and the associated app.

What information do the integrated multicolor LEDs provide?

Each of the six buttons has an LED that can light up, flash or pulsate in seven different colors. These LEDs signal different system statuses, such as whether windows are still open, the light in another room is switched on or which protection mode is currently active.

Does the push-button optically match my existing light switches?

Yes, the device is designed in a 55 mm format. This means that it can be mounted using the supplied interchangeable frame as well as integrated into existing switch series from leading manufacturers.
