The device is used to protect your building from water damage by reliably closing the main water pipe in the event of a leak. In combination with a Homematic IP water sensor, the system detects moisture and automatically interrupts the water flow by radio command. What functions are combined in the device? The unit is an all-in-one solution: It combines a water stop (shut-off valve), a water filter (backwash filter) and a pressure reducer in one compact housing. This saves space and effort during installation in the domestic water supply system. What happens to the water supply in the event of a power failure? The device has an emergency power supply with three rechargeable batteries (3x 1.2 V HR03/AAA). If the batteries are almost empty, the ball valve closes automatically for safety reasons. However, the valve can also be opened or closed manually in an emergency using the socket wrench supplied. Is installation possible in both horizontal and vertical water pipes? Yes, the device is flexibly designed for both orientations. While installation in a horizontal pipe is the standard case, the unit can also be installed in a vertical pipe. In this case, however, the backwash filter must be modified by a specialist: The valve housing is rotated by 90° to ensure that the LED display and operating elements are still correctly aligned upwards. What are the technical parameters for the flow rate and filtration? The supply unit is designed for a nominal connection diameter of DN 25 and supports a maximum flow rate of 3.6 m³/h at an operating pressure of 2 to 16 bar.
