Smart access to your home is what makes the Smart Home really convenient. 

With the Wiegand interface, you can integrate Wiegand-compatible end devices into your Homematic IP smart home system. You can easily control code locks, fingerprint sensors or card and transponder readers via the Homematic IP app and combine them with other Homematic IP devices. And create smart functions: Open your smart entrance door and simultaneously switch on the lights or switch off the alarm mode - all with your Wiegand-enabled device.

The Wiegand interface has eight virtual input channels that you can link individually with Wiegand codes. In this way, a Wiegand code can control one or more virtual input channels and trigger actions.
