Smart daycare centre

A two-family house with two daycare centres on the upper floor – why not make it smart from the start? This means not only increased comfort and a cosy atmosphere for the residents but also for the children in their care. The benefits of a smart home convinced the Krüger family to equip their new build with Homematic IP’s smart technology, in close collaboration with Riera Elektrotechnik.

The home owners were introduced to Homematic IP through the recommendation of their installation specialist. Ultimately, the excellent price-performance ratio of Homematic IP compared to other systems was the deciding factor. The installation was carried out by our authorised specialist partner, Riera Elektrotechnik, and operates locally via the Smart Home Central Control Unit in conjunction with the Wired Access Point. To extend the range, two Access Points are used, ensuring a stable connection of the devices even over greater distances.

The residents control their shading via several Wired Blind Actuators. Customised automations allow the shutters to rise in the morning at sunrise and lower again in the evening at sunset.

To ensure that both the residents and the children at the daycare enjoy cosy warmth and comfortable temperatures at all times, a total of five Wired Floor Heating Controllers have been installed. These regulate all the heating circuits in the house, maintaining a comfortable temperature throughout the day and night. Should it ever become too warm or too cold, the temperature can be easily adjusted up or down using the push-buttons or the Wired Wall Thermostats installed throughout the house.

In addition to measuring temperature, the wall thermostats also monitor humidity levels. This allows Egon and Simone to respond quickly, ventilate the affected rooms, and enjoy a comfortable indoor climate at all times. Moreover, this helps protect their rooms from the damaging effects of excessive humidity. For convenient system operation, the electrician installed numerous Homematic IP Wired Wall-mount Remote Controls for brand switches throughout the house and enabled control via 6-channel push-buttons through several Wired IO Modules.
