Conditions of participation for the Homematic IP Start smart quiz

The competition is organised by eQ-3 AG, Maiburger Straße 29, 26789 Leer (hereinafter also referred to as ‘eQ-3’). The recipient of the information provided by the participant is eQ-3. The information transmitted to eQ-3 will only be used in the context of this competition and will be deleted within 30 days of the end of this competition.

1. eligibility to participate

(a) All natural persons who are resident in Europe and have reached the age of 18 are eligible to participate. Employees of the organiser and employees of cooperation partners who are or were involved in the creation or processing of the competition are excluded.

(b) In order to take part in this competition, it is necessary to correctly answer and submit the quiz form. Multiple entries by the same person will be counted as just one entry and will not increase the chance of winning.

(d) For the prize to be processed, it is essential that the winners drawn provide correct personal details. Otherwise, eQ-3 is entitled to exclude the participant from the competition and, if necessary, to draw a replacement winner. eQ-3 reserves the right to exclude persons from the competition who attempt to gain or gain advantages by manipulating the prize system.

2. realisation

(a) The Start Smart Quiz begins on 18 June 2024 (00:00) and ends on 25 June 2024 (23:59) and can be found on the Homematic IP website (https://homematic-ip.com/en) at the URL https://homematic-ip.com/en/start-smart.

(b). Participation takes place by calling up the quiz, answering the questions and submitting the completed entry form. Participation in the competition is free of charge.

(c) By submitting the competition form, the participant agrees to the conditions of participation listed here. The participation period extends from 13 June 2024 (00:00) and ends on 21 June 2024 (23:59). Entries received after the closing date will not be considered in the draw.

(d) The winners will be determined in a random draw among all participants. The winners will be notified in writing by eQ-3 within one week. Notification will be sent by e-mail from teilnahme@eq-3.de to the e-mail address used by the winner. The winner agrees that the personal data provided by him/her will be stored for the duration of the competition.

(e) The winner must confirm receipt of the email within the period specified in the email and provide their full contact details (name, address, postcode, city). If it is not possible to deliver the e-mail to the e-mail address provided by the winner or if the winner does not respond within the deadline, he/she will be excluded from further participation and a new winner will be chosen.

3. prize

(a) 5 Homematic IP Starter Sets will be raffled off among all participants. The winners can choose one of the following sets: Homematic IP Starter Set Heating and Homematic IP Starter Set Alarm.

The prize will be dispatched within three weeks of the winner's response within the period specified in 2(e).

(b) b) Conversion of the prize into other types of service than those offered is excluded. Legal recourse is excluded.

4. data protection

The collection, processing and utilisation of personal data is carried out in strict compliance with all currently applicable data protection regulations. The privacy policy applicable to further processing can be found at https://homematic-ip.com/en/privacy

(a) Personal data: Personal data are individual details about personal and factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person, i.e. information that identifies a person or at least makes them identifiable. All this data is subject to special protection in accordance with data protection regulations, which we ensure through technical and organisational measures.

(b) Personal data is collected, processed and used exclusively for the purpose of organising the competition. The winners must provide the data specified in point 2. e) for the prize processing. This data will only be used to process the prize and will be deleted after 30 days at the latest. If deletion is not possible due to statutory retention obligations, the participant's data record will be blocked until the retention period expires, i.e. the data will be excluded from further use. The data will not be passed on to persons who are not involved in the competition. Personal data will only be transferred to state institutions and authorities if this is required by law. You therefore provide us with your data to carry out the campaign on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

c) If you win, you consent to the publication of your name in abbreviated form (first name and abbreviated surname, e.g. Max M.) in our own media (website, newsletter, social media, forum).

d) Rights of all winners or participants: Each participant has the right to request free of charge which data eQ-3 has stored about him/her as part of the competition and to request the correction, deletion and transfer of the data to a third party and to revoke any consent to the use of data in accordance with these conditions at any time.

5. premature termination

eQ-3 reserves the right to cancel the competition at any time without prior notice for good cause. An important reason may arise for technical reasons, such as viruses in the computer system, manipulation or errors in the application or for legal reasons.

6 Miscellaneous

(a) The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.

(b) Legal recourse is excluded.

(c) Should any of these provisions be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining conditions of participation.
