While you're out, it suddenly starts pouring with rain and you wonder if all the windows - especially the skylights - are closed. Should you rush home just in case? Not if you've installed the Homematic IP window / door contact. This allows you to easily check in the app whether all windows are closed when you're out and about. And by the way, you can also integrate this all-rounder into your Homematic IP security or heating function.

Monitoring for a secure home

You can immediately detect the opening or closing of windows and doors via the Homematic IP app.

In combination with Homematic IP alarm sirens (e.g. HmIP-ASIR-2), your home becomes even more secure. Because this automatically triggers a loud alarm when a window or door is opened.

Fresh air without wasting energy

The room temperature is automatically lowered during ventilation if you connect the window / door contact to a Homematic IP radiator thermostats.

You can even individually define the lowering temperature. The comfort temperature is automatically restored as soon as you close the window.

Flexible control possibilities

Use the window and door contact with magnet individually (in stand-alone mode) or as part of your smart home system.

In stand-alone mode: Simply combine the contact with a radiator thermostat (HmIP-eTRV-B) and a wall thermostat (HmIP-WTH-B).
As part of a smart home system: The Homematic IP access point and the free app form the basis of your smart home. You can use it as a smart addition to your window / door contact with magnet as well as many devices in your home.
