Let the sun into your smart home – exactly how you like it

At midday, the sun often heats up living spaces in particular. This doesn't have to happen in your smart home: With Homematic IP, you only let in the sun when you want it. The light sensor measures the brightness outdoors and passes on the values to your shutters on request. Your shutters will be automatically lowered at a certain brightness level. For carefree enjoyment of your smart home.

Keeping an eye on brightness

The sensor measures the brightness in lux in your outdoor area. You can see all measured values in the Homematic IP app.

Easy installation

Simply install the light sensor on a wall or place it on a shelf outdoors.

The right anchors and screws are provided for uncomplicated wall mounting.

Smart combinations

The intelligent thermal protection prevents your rooms from overheating in summer thanks to automatic shading.

In combination with the Homematic IP shutter actuators (e.g. HmIP-FROLL), your home remains cool even in bright sunshine. With Homematic IP switching actuators (e.g. HmIP-BSM), your lights are switched on automatically when it gets dark.
