Monitor the building with Homematic IP
Feeling safe and secure at home and being able to check at any time whether everything is as it should be in and around the building simply feels good. With Homematic IP, all it takes is a quick look at your smartphone.
Even if your internet goes down, or the access point is destroyed, your smart home system continues to provide reliable monitoring and local alerts. With the free Homematic IP app, you’re always covered: with just one click, you can monitor your home the whole time. In the event of an alarm, you’ll receive a push message – no matter where you are.
Building monitoring also means being alerted in the event of an emergency. Homematic IP’s smart sirens, smoke detectors and water sensors report any attempted break-ins, smoke emissions or imminent water damage. Combined with a push message to your smartphone, they alert you promptly, and you can react appropriately.
Be alerted to dangerous smoke emissions at an early stage with a loud alarm – and a push message to your smartphone. In the event of an emergency, the alarm signals are forwarded to all installed Homematic IP smoke detectors in the home, informing all the occupants, regardless of which room they are in. The smoke detectors in an installation are automatically linked to each other after pairing. You can connect up to 40 smoke detectors in this way.
Place the Homematic IP water sensor near pipes, dishwashers or washing machines – any leaks will be detected at an early stage. The sensor detects increasing wetness or moisture and triggers an alarm. It’s super smart: in case no one is home, the alarm message is also sent to your smartphone. So you can intervene quickly to keep water damage to a minimum.
Add weather sensors to further protect your home from damage caused by bad weather. In the event of a storm or excessive heat, for instance, the shutters are lowered or raised. This not only protects your plants from too much light, but also prevents the rooms from overheating.
Configure personalised security scenarios using the Homematic IP app. For example, the alarm function can be activated when the humidity in a room exceeds a certain value, or the room temperature falls below a specified value. This keeps you safe from mould development and frost damage.
With surveillance cameras from EZVIZ, you always have your home in view. And the smart cameras can be integrated directly into the Homematic IP app. Has a Homematic IP motion sensor reported activity even though there shouldn’t be anyone home? In a flash, you can open the EZVIZ app in the Homematic IP app with a tap of your finger and view the image. You can see straight away if it’s just the neighbour’s cat calling round or if in fact it’s someone up to no good.
No personal data is required to set up or operate your Homematic IP smart home, which means that no conclusions can be drawn about your identity or your individual usage behaviour. All communication between the access point, cloud and app is encrypted. Even during the system’s installation, Homematic IP communication is secure and cannot be manipulated.
Similarly to online banking, we too use the universally recognised AES-128 and CCM procedures. Our high security standard for wireless and IT communication is also confirmed by VDE and AV-TEST certification.
"My smart home feeling is when my house does the things I do manually every day, over and over again, automatically for me." Here, he relies on the smart functions that he can configure very easily and individually with the Homematic IP app. The broad product portfolio of Homematic IP makes it particularly easy for Alexander to combine different solutions - flexibly by radio or also wired and thus particularly fail-safe. "That's smart!"
