A secured locking function has been integrated. This enables a door and window contact to be used with the Homematic IP door lock actuator. From now on, a message will appear in the app if an open door has been locked.

Furthermore, the previous security protocol has been replaced by a new event protocol and expanded with many more entries from the areas of security, indoor climate and access, etc. The event protocol lists the most recent 500 entries. Individual events can be selected.

The latest update also adds more voice control functions. The smart door lock can now be unlocked via Alexa and Google. Motion and presence sensor are now visible in Alexa. Statuses can be viewed in the Alexa app and they can act as triggers for routines.

Another new feature is the lighting configuration, which can now be found under the light and shade function. This allows the coming home light to be set up without security components. Integrating the garage door controller (HmIP-WGC) into the Homematic IP app will also be a welcome highlight for many cloud users.

The Android app can be found as usual in the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

It can take up to 24 hours for the update to be available on the smartphone.
