Compatibility with Alexa

How to connect your smart home system to Amazon Alexa

For the basic configuration, the user sets up an Amazon account and installs the Amazon Alexa app on their smartphone. The devices can then be easily controlled via the Homematic IP Skill stored in the app.
 
You can find detailed set-up information in our user manual.
  • Open the Homematic IP app.
  • Navigate to More… > Voice control and additional services > Amazon Alexa.
  • Tap Pair with Alexa (automatic process) and then Pair with Alexa.
  • Enter your administrator PIN (if enabled) and tap Verify.
  • Tap Link to activate the Alexa skill.

  5. This provides the link between the Google Assistant and the Homematic IP Cloud.
  6. And you're done!
