Just a moment ago you were enjoying the weather on the terrace, then suddenly it's started to rain. Now the race is on to not get wet: Close the skylight, take the laundry off the washing line and retract the awning. A smart home can't do your laundry for you but it can retract your awning automatically. This is thanks to the rain sensor, which detects even the smallest amount of rain and, combined with a Homematic IP shutter actuator, retracts your awning straight away.

Thanks to integrated sensor heating, the sensor surface is dried immediately.
This prevents restrictions in function or incorrect closures caused by dew or ice.

Thanks to the wide temperature range and the waterproof housing, it can also be used under extreme conditions from -20 to +55 °C.

When it starts to rain, this information is quickly passed on to your smart awning.

The awning is then retracted automatically. To do this, connect the rain sensor to a Homematic IP shutter actuator.

The supplied mounting brackets (with and without inclination) allow the sensor to be used in different positions - according to your needs.
